      Recipe Baking: SUGAR FREE OATMEAL COOKIES

  1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/4 c. water
1/3 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat well. Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly oiled baking sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned. Makes 48 cookies. 3 cookies: 1 starch-bread exchange, 1 fat exchange, 126 calories, 15 grams carbohydrate, 3 grams protein, 6 grams fat, 66 milligrams sodium, 33 milligrams cholesterol.
