Recipe Baking: CHRISTMAS CANDY

  1 3/4 c. mashed potatoes, cold or 3/4
c. instant potatoes made with salt,water, milk, but not butter. Mix as package states.
1 lb. pkg. powdered sugar
1 lb. flaked coconut

Mix together and chill. Roll in balls walnut size. Insert a toothpick in each ball. Chill one hour. Melt together over a double boiler: 4 oz. (4 sq. or 1/2 bar) of a
semi-sweet chocolate bar
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 bar (or less) paraffin wax

Dip cold ball in chocolate, drain, remove toothpick. Chill again. .
